Rabbi Mendel Cohen

Rabbi Mendel Cohen serves as a rabbi, dayan (rabbinic judge) and executive director at Chabad of Greater Sacramento, a network of seven Community Centers he co-founded with his wife Dini across the greater Sacramento region.

Prior to moving to Sacramento in 1994, Rabbi Cohen studied Jewish thought and practice in Montreal, New York, and Jerusalem where he was ordained and certified as a rabbinic judge. Rabbi Cohen has published a book and numerous scholarly articles on Jewish law and has lectured on the subject extensively.
